Extra resources for ACCA

In case if you can't follow up in the class for some topics, there are free resources waiting you in the internet ;) the most widely known page (which you should already heard or used it) is called opentuition, www.opentuition.com has won the second PQ magazine this year and this shows their quality, they provide free video lectures (not downloadable) and also free course notes. Although the video lectures may not be complete, they have at least covered the most difficult and the examinable area. Their course notes are also for the whole syllabus, however you cannot just rely on the notes, you will still need the study text. They provide free resources for F4 ENG and GLO, F6 UK and P6 UK, so take note of the variant.

Secondly, you can also use www.theexpgroup.com/expand/ they provide free video lectures (again not downloadable) and free key notes. The key notes only show you the key area but they are definitely not enough for you to pass the exam, so use it wisely. In addition, their notes and lectures are based on the old syllabus, so be careful that some topics may no longer be in the syllabus.

Thirdly, www.e-video-lesson.com is also a good option. This site starts operating in January 2011 and has been growing fast, more resources are added from time to time. What is special about this site is that the site is run by a student who is currently studying F4, F5 and F6 and there are some authors who are also student. Authors will publish their own articles which are based on the student's understanding, so it is probable that you can understand better about a topic by reading the articles by students. Currently, not every paper of ACCA has author and also video, but in future we will see how.

All of the above are provided for free to everyone, use them IF you cannot understanding some topics in class, if you can understand everything taught by lecturer, then no point using them, sometime too much information can cause problem. All the best :D

Sports, committee and blood drive program

It is the time, you should have noticed that we had put up the form about sports at the notice board. The three types of sports are badminton, basketball and futsal. This is the first time of IAC initiating sport activity, so it is gonna be fun. To be part of the game, either as a leader or as a team member, choose your favourite sport and just write your name down. We need to have enough people before we are able to organise it.

Beside sports, you can also become one of the committee members by writing your name down at the committee form which is also at the notice board. You will gain a certificate for becoming a committee member in next year. Therefore, if you are interested to help IAC, write your name down. ;)

If anyone has not yet noticed, the blood drive program is on the 16th of March which is Wednesday, from 9.00am to 4.00pm. A certificate of participation will be awarded for participating in this program, what you need to do is to help, not to donate blood. Therefore, if you have time, please participate in the program. :)

Error in F4 BPP book

In page 22 of the F4 BPP textbook, "Eiusdem" is a wrong word, it should be "Ejusdem", I did not ask BPP about this because it is a small error, you can search at google and you will see the correct word, the lecturer's notes are correct :)

If you found other things in BPP book which are different from the lecturer's notes, please tell here too :)
